MBTA ad campaign

The MFA promoted its exhibition “Quilts and Color: The Pilgrim/Roy Collection,” with an overarching programming theme called “Season of Color,” to Boston-area residents, commuters, and tourists visiting the city.

I spent the weekend before Thanksgiving brainstorming concepts for a unique ad campaign, and along with my design partner, I created the MFA’s first-ever MBTA-specific campaign, breaking away from our traditional ad lock-up designs.

The concept: tap into the T’s color-coded system to create an ad campaign for each of its four subway lines, using humorous phrases relating to the highs and lows of city commuting.
