Jobcase
During the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic, the online job search company Jobcase wanted to assist blue-collar workers who were suddenly unemployed. The company offered guidance on employment and safety measures to help these workers navigate the "new normal." Although Jobcase had an active blog, they needed new content to keep up with current developments.
As a content writer, I met with Jobcase's marketing staff every Monday via Zoom to pitch ideas for upcoming blog articles. I researched topics and interviewed experts from various job-related fields, including employment law and occupational health and safety. All my articles were SEO-friendly and consistent with the Jobcase tone and style.
In addition to writing blog content, I was brought in to work with the Jobcase developers to create the company's first job search mobile app. As the lead writer, I focused on crafting UX and microcopy that helped Jobcase users easily navigate the app. My copy was short, concise, and written in a conversational tone that resonated with the app's target audience, the blue-collar job seeker. This approach helped to build brand loyalty and foster a deeper connection between Jobcase and its users.
